Writing Work

 

Write a plan for a story and then write the story. Use connectives (and, but, although, however, also and because). Write it in paragraphs and use adverbs, connectives, interesting adjectives and think of an interesting problem and solution.

Remember to use the past tense! Also you need to use punctuation like full stops, exclamation marks (!), question marks (?) and speech marks (“    ”).

 

Write a haiku poem and a  rhyming poem.

 

Write down sentences with the verbs, to be, to have, to do, to go, and can using the positive and negative. E.g. I am, I am not, I do, I don’t, I have, I haven’t, She doesn’t go etc

 

Continue to write your diary every weekend and also if you do something special.

 

 

Write down instructions for making a toy drum and for travelling from your house to the Pilar.

 

Write a newspaper article about a student that wins a competition to go to London.

 

 

Speaking

 

You can talk with your friends in English! You don’t have to talk all the time in English but you can talk a little.

Remember it is important to practice! For example, you could make a small theatre with your friends.
